Kristen McFeely graduated Summa Cum Laude from Mid-America Christian University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2018. She received a Master of Science in Community Counseling from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in May of 2020. She completed her internship in the Fall of 2020 under the supervision of Shay Espinosa, LPC-S and loved it so much she decided to return to ITS to complete her candidacy.
Kristen believes strongly in the resiliency of the human spirit and strives to help others recognize and access their own strengths through the therapeutic process. Through community and family, she has experienced firsthand numerous emotional, physical and spiritual challenges. She hopes to integrate her optimistic, compassionate, and down-to-earth personality with evidence-based therapeutic approaches. Kristen’s aim is to provide a calm place of peace from the noise of everyday life, in which to collaborate, heal and grow. Kristen has a great love of learning and looks forward to gaining more insight and knowledge during her candidacy so that she can best serve her future clients.
During her free time, she enjoys traveling, time outdoors, and spending time with her family, her dogs, and her horse. She believes strongly in the healing power of animals and hopes to incorporate them into her practice in the future.
